Recycle In Clemson – How And Where

Recycle 2022 Clemson South Carolina

As of August 1st, 2022 the city of Clemson, South Carolina has temporarily suspended recycle pick up services. But, you can still take your recyclables to our local collection centers.

Below is the locations, the materials you can bring, and the open hours of operation of the Clemson recycle centers.

Clemson Recycling Center

1155 Old Central Road

Clemson, SC

Tuesday – Saturday (closed on Sundays & Mondays; gate locked)

8:00 – 11:30AM and 12:30 – 4:30PM

Individual Bins for recycling:

  1. Brown & Green Glass
  2. Clear Glass
  3. Cardboard
  4. Paper & Paperboard
  5. Plastics #1 & #2
  6. Aluminum & Steel Cans

Individual bin material contamination that causes load of recyclable items to be discarded: food scraps in cans, such as pet food cans, not cleaned out, milk jugs not rinsed out.

Clemson University Kite Hill Recycling Center

On Perimeter Road behind the CU Fire Department

Monday – Friday 8:00 to 4:30PM
